Open Source Portal Framework for Job Submission
نویسندگان
چکیده
This paper describes the Open Source Portal Framework (OSPF) for job submission to grid, which is developed based on JSR168 Portlet standard, with GridSphere Portal Framework, Globus Middleware and Gridway Meta-Scheduler. OSPF is providing web portal interface for Open Source Grid Community with the ultimate aim of accessing the distributed computing resources. This portal framework provisions user authentication and authorization using MyProxy Credentials. OSPF provides a platform for development and maintenance of their own Portlets like job Submission, Grid Status and Problem Solving Environments (PSEs) based on specific applications. This paper also captures about OSPF features and its implementation along with architecture, performance analysis followed by comparison of various open source Grid portal frameworks.

Building a Grid Portal for Teragrid’s Big Red
We describe the Big Red Portal, which builds on the Open Grid Computing Environment (OGCE) portal software. In addition to standard OGCE capabilities, this portal includes MEME job submission and job dashboard portlets that are built using OGCE and related portlet libraries. To simplify the development of such portlets in the future, we introduce an XML tag library approach that encapsulates co...
متن کاملLAP: The CLARINO Language Analysis Portal
This abstract describes the current state of the Language Analysis Portal (LAP) currently under development in the Norwegian CLARINO initiative. LAP provides users with a collection of state-of-the-art tools for natural language processing that are accessible via a unified, in-browser user interface. Built on top of the open-source Galaxy framework (Giardine et al., 2005; Blankenberg et al., 20...
متن کاملICAT Job Portal: a generic job submission system built on a scientific data catalog
The value of metadata to the scientist is well known: with the right choice of metadata, data files can be selected very quickly without having to scan through huge volumes of data. The ICAT metadata catalog[1] (which is part of the ICAT project[2]) allows the scientist to store and query information about individual data files and sets of data files as well as storing provenance information. T...
متن کاملEmpowering a Flexible Application Portal with a SOA-based Grid Job Management Framework
There exists today a number of web-based portals and Grid middlewares that support the submission of jobs to Grid resources. A majority of these portals are tightly coupled with the underlying middleware, and rarely provide user interfaces customized to the end-user applications. The Lunarc Application Portal is a Grid portal that supports the development of customized user interfaces for Grid ...
متن کاملThe Anatomy of a Grid portal
In this paper we introduce a new way to deal with Grid portals referring to our implementation. L-GRID is a light portal to access the EGEE/EGI Grid infrastructure via Web, allowing users to submit their jobs from a common Web browser in a few minutes, without any knowledge about the Grid infrastructure. It provides the control over the complete lifecycle of a Grid Job, from its submission and ...
